What is a stretch ceiling?
A stretch ceiling is a membrane — PVC or fabric — that clips into a perimeter track mounted on your walls and sits just below the existing ceiling. The result is a smooth, seamless surface with no drywall, no taping, no sanding and no paint. The system can carry integrated LED lighting, acoustic backing and printed visuals, and wiring and services stay accessible above the membrane.
How is a stretch ceiling installed?
First we measure the room and plan the ceiling — lighting positions, levels, and any printed or backlit areas. On install day the crew fixes a perimeter track to the walls, runs the wiring and LED profiles, then stretches the membrane and clips it into the track. There is no demolition and no drywall dust, and some projects are completed within one day. We will confirm what needs to be moved or covered before install day.
Are stretch ceilings durable?
Yes. The membrane carries a 10-year warranty, and unlike drywall it has no seams to crack and never needs repainting. It holds its shape and finish in both residential and commercial spaces.
How much does a stretch ceiling cost?
For residential white membrane installed in Calgary, pricing runs by project size:
- 50–100 sq ft: $15 per sq ft
- 100–300 sq ft: $12 per sq ft
- 300–500 sq ft: $10 per sq ft
- 500–750 sq ft: about $9 per sq ft
- 750+ sq ft: $8 per sq ft
Glossy finishes add about 25%, and fabric membranes about 50%. Every project starts with a site measurement so you get an exact quote.
How do payments work?
We work on a 50/50 basis: a 50% deposit to schedule the work, and the remaining 50% on completion.
Is there a fee for measuring?
The site measurement is $150 in Calgary and $200 outside Calgary. If you proceed with the project, the fee is credited in full toward your ceiling.
What warranties do you offer?

Can a stretch ceiling be installed in any room?
Yes. Stretch ceilings work in living rooms, bedrooms, kitchens and basements, as well as offices, retail and hospitality spaces. For high-humidity areas like bathrooms and pools, ask us about moisture-suitable membranes.
Can a stretch ceiling go over my existing ceiling?
Yes. The system installs below your existing ceiling, so in most cases there is no demolition — the old ceiling stays in place and the stretch membrane becomes the new finished surface.
